When was the last time you felt empathetic towards someone?
We run, we chase, we fall, we get up and start running again!
Hold on a second. Do you even know why are you running in the first place? Take a moment to ponder upon the thought. Not all but most of us are simply following what's been put ahead of us. We never wait and think that why are we doing this in the first place and in that process forget to enjoy the beauty of our own surrounding. It is like as if someone has dangled a carrot in front of us.
I like meeting new people and love to interact with them. Recently when I visited Pondicherry, I met this kid who was selling sugar candies on his bicycle. He and his family are in this business from years. It might so happen that he is doing this simply out of his need. But what if he actually knows what he is up to and he has some big plans down the line.
Most of us have been fed right from our childhood that how if you don't crack a particular exam you won't amount to much. How after going through the cycle of 10th-12th-Graduation-MS/MBA/Job you would start loving what you do. This trap has led us to believe that we are actually made for this. I am not talking about everyone. I am writing this to address a few who have stopped believing in themselves and have stopped dreaming after falling into this trap. Our education system has allowed us to get knowledge but failed to teach us the basic things which actually work in the real world. We are never taught about managing our finances which leads most of us to live a life filled with EMI's and poverty. ( read Rich Dad Poor Dad ) This is just one example. Because of this, we are trapped in that same cycle again. There are a lot of things which eventually leads us to think low of ourselves.
The world is changing at a rapid pace and feeling low and getting an inferiority complex is a no big deal these days! The problem arises when the self-belief bubble gets busted or starts getting small holes as we progress. The small problems which were once seen only in films and theatres now start crawling beneath our bed!
This leads us to accept what is served to us!
Would you accept that?
Are you going to fight for that one thing?
Or
Are you going to manage both things ?
Let's catch up on this in the next blog :)
Happy reading!
